FAQ
You Asked, We Answered
DOES IT MAKES SENSE TO MILL JUST ONE LOG?
It really depends. We believe that every log big enough to mill is worth milling. But I would say it depends on the species if you have one walnut log to mill its defientaly worth it. Or if the tree had meaning to you and your family and you want to preserve its legacy.
CAN YOU MILL THE ENTIRE TREE?
No. it is impossible to mill the entire tree. We recommend that anything above 12" in diameter and 6 foot length that is relatively straight is worth milling. Also it is not recommended to mill the branches of trees even though they may meet the requirements. Due to the nature of their growth pattern they tend to warp quickly.
DO I REALLY SAVE THAT MUCH MONEY VS BUYING?
YES. The average cost difference is about 50% savings versus buying material at the store. Plus you get to use material that would have otherwise been thrown away.
